Talulah was founded as a restaurant by Garth Ashford in 2009, a local entrepreneur and yogi. His goal was to provoke exotic culture into The Junction area and create a completely unique experience. In 2020 he passed the venue onto Jack Scheeren and his young family. With aligned core values, Kahlea and Jack have maintained a continuity of the venue whilst injecting their background of refined modern café culture.
For Jack, Talulah is a way of life. It’s a place to connect with your community in a homely space with refined food and drinks that nourish your body and inspire the senses.
